Currently, I am employed at Randstad Risemart, where I hold the distinguished position of being the first resume writer from Pakistan. Additionally, I am actively engaged in freelancing.
2. Would you consider yourself a start-up, established, or somewhere in between?
I would describe my professional journey as somewhere in between. Over the years, I have accumulated a wealth of experience in resume writing, having crafted over 6,000 CVs and resumes for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Notably, I have had the privilege of working with clients from esteemed organizations, including FAANG companies and Fortune 500 corporations. Currently, I am in the process of pursuing my MBA-HR, which I believe will further enhance my skills and expertise.
3. What inspired you to start writing resumes?
I got into resume writing because I really enjoy helping people, and I’ve come to realize that good writing skills, especially in the form of resumes, can be a game-changer in a person’s career. Back in my university days, I used to help my friends with their assignments. I found it rewarding to turn their ideas into well-written content. This experience made me appreciate how words can make a big difference in conveying information effectively. When I stumbled upon resume writing, it struck a chord with me. I saw it as a way to use my writing skills to help individuals present themselves in the best possible light to potential employers. This idea of helping people land their dream jobs through well-crafted resumes really inspired me.
In essence, my journey into resume writing is all about combining my passion for helping others with my belief in the power of words. It’s a way for me to make a real impact in people’s lives by giving them a better shot at achieving their career goals.
4. What resume writing certifications do you hold, if any?
I have undergone extensive resume writing training, spanning six months, which has honed my abilities significantly. Additionally, I hold certifications from Risemart University in Resume Writing, Modern Practices, Navigating Participants, and Customer Service.

Absolutely, resume writing can offer a wealth of experience and personal satisfaction. While sitting in your chair, you get to “travel” the world through diverse clients, experiencing their journeys and learning from their experiences. Helping clients craft their resumes is not only fulfilling but also provides the joy of witnessing their success, whether it’s landing a job or securing an interview. It’s a profession that allows you to make a real difference in people’s lives while continuously expanding your own knowledge and understanding of various industries and career paths.
6. What are the best tools you’re using that you can’t imagine running your business without?
MS Office Word
7. What one learning experience/great lesson have you acquired since starting this career path?
One profound lesson I’ve gained since starting this career path is the immense value of individuality. In the world of resume writing, I’ve learned that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Every person’s career journey is distinct and filled with unique experiences, skills, and aspirations. Crafting effective resumes means recognizing and celebrating this individuality, tailoring each document to showcase what makes a person truly stand out.
8. What biggest challenges are you facing right now?
I’m in the process of establishing my brand, and gaining the trust of clients as a non-native writer is a hurdle. Securing new contracts has proven to be a challenging aspect of building my resume-writing business.
9. How do you see our industry changing in the next 12 months? 5 years? What do you think resume writers need to know to survive and thrive?
In the foreseeable future, I anticipate several noteworthy changes within the resume writing industry. To ensure survival and prosperity in this evolving landscape, resume writers must adapt and equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills.
In the short term, the integration of AI into resume creation and assessment tools is poised to advance further. Yet, it’s vital for resume writers to grasp that this transformation goes beyond mere content optimization or rewriting. It encompasses adeptly managing ATS requirements while simultaneously crafting resumes that are visually appealing and compelling to human recruiters.
Over the next few years, the trend toward personalized resume writing services is likely to gain momentum. Clients may participate in interview phases where they discuss their unique career experiences, goals, and skill sets in depth. Resume writers must be prepared to offer bespoke solutions that effectively showcase each client’s individuality. Precision will be paramount in resume writing. Each word, from the initial summary and carefully chosen adjectives to the final education section, must serve a specific purpose and resonate with the client’s personality and achievements.
To thrive, resume writers must commit to continuous learning. The industry is dynamic, with ever-changing ATS systems, recruitment practices, and technology. Staying updated and honing one’s skills will be essential for remaining competitive.
Lastly, while AI is becoming increasingly relevant, the human touch in resume writing should not be underestimated. Resume writers possess the ability to connect with clients, understand their unique qualities, and convey their narratives effectively.
10. What are you most proud of achieving in your business?
What I’m most proud of achieving in my business is a notably high success and referral rate. It’s not just about having satisfied clients; it’s about the tangible outcomes, such as clients successfully landing interviews, that truly make me proud.
11. What are your growth plans going forward?
My growth plans moving forward involve developing and strengthening my personal brand within the resume writing industry. I aim to establish a strong online presence and reputation that attracts clients directly to me. Additionally, I am planning to offer personalized sessions and one-on-one consultations to create tailored and highly personalized career documents for my clients. This approach will not only enhance the quality of the service I provide but also further distinguish my brand in the market. Ultimately, my goal is to continue expanding my client base, consistently delivering outstanding results, and becoming a go-to expert in the field of resume writing. Also, I am planning to acquire CPRW soon.
